When Torden and Xerxes met in summer 2006, they had a burning common interest. They were both interested to form a band with their strong ideological views, and with a brutal musical expression.
Torden invited his cousin, whom he had played guitar with for many years. (Abaddon) Abaddon and Torden, had a good friend from their childhood, whom they earlyer had engaged in their music, on several occasions (Skaugrim). They gave him the role as bassist in the band.
Xerxes committed a great rythm-guitarist, with whom he altso had known from childhood, while Torden took on the role of beeing the band's drummer.
SEKT stood on the bare ground. They did not have either money or good instruments. But, had collected and saved what they could, to put together a rehearsal room.
SEKT practiced every day. From morning to evening, there was music in focus. And in all the gameplay, they created a strong anti-religious ideology. "Being able to put himself as king in his own universe", describes much.
SEKT got very good feedback, when they had their first appearance for some people they knew, in winter 2007. They had their first real live show in 2008, and received very good response from the audience.
SEKT has also been visited by Gaahl from Gorgoroth. Gaahl was a great inspiration for the band, and gave positive and constructive criticism.
SEKT is now on the march back, with new and powerful songs. These songs will be recorded as soon as the album is financed.
