Hell Dormer was formed back in 2002 by drummer Bendik and bassplayer/guitarist Espen. The first half year was spent recruiting new members. The first concert was played in February 2003 with Ulrik on vocals. Shortly after, the first lineup was completed, with Fluffy playing bass. They kept playing around the local scene for a year and a half until Fluffy quit to join another local band in August 2004. Harald Hemm replaced him but was unfortunately fired due to unsatisfying performance in March 2005. The current lineup was then formed. It includes: Ulrik Danneborg - vocals, Espen Loken bass and backing vocals, Jonas Dilba - guitars, Bendik Aune - drums. The mini-album Cemetery Blues was recorded in the spring of 2005 and released in November the same year. It was the bands first official release on their own label, and it received some positive attention. It got some airplay and made a lot of people aware of the band and their qualities. As a result of this, the band played a lot of concerts in the time following the release of Cemetery Blues. Currently, theyre playing out as much as they can whilst constantly improving the band and the music.
